Why do you need high-quality bearing grease?
Due to the dynamic load of +/- 80kg rider weight, the load on the bearing can increase up to three times during activities like standing on the pedals and especially during sprints.
 
How does graphite reduce friction in the bearing?
1. Friction decreases significantly due to the formation of a graphite film on the balls and raceways.
2. Graphite evens out irregularities in the bearing, allowing a surface similar to that of ceramic bearings to be created.
3. We use a thin grease! Oil is not corrosion-resistant and is quickly washed away, while overly thick grease does not lubricate optimally! The key is to reduce friction under load, not in an unloaded state.
 
Is it possible to run bearings without seals and only with oil?
Certainly, but as soon as dust reaches the bearings, friction increases dramatically, much like with bicycle chains.
 
The bearing grease is very efficient with 15ml. It is sufficient to lubricate bottom brackets and a wheelset.
